I just want to THANK each of you for your outstanding support with our "Mountain Man" Rendezvous!
It was a great success and the students loved it! We will be moving into our "Pioneer" families as we start our "Utah Pioneer" unit. Your child will be bringing home a paper asking about your first family ties to Utah. Every year, I find out I'm related to one or more of you! We have already started learning about "Rocks and Minerals" as we finish up our "Weather" unit. We will attend Bard's Bash and The Long Island Piano Concert on Thursday. Next week, we will start testing. I hope everyone has a great week!

Tomorrow we will be having our Mountain Man Renezvous.
We will do a bunch of Mountain Man Math activities. Students will be able to spend their Mountain Man Bear Bucks (Tickets). I am asking that each child that would like to, may
bring treasures that they would like to trade or sell. Students may make items or gather
unused items of their own to trade or sale. Items could include, but are not limited to: Baked goods, arts and crafts,
Kids Meal Toys, slightly used toys or games etc. Thank you for your GREAT SUPPORT! This will be a very fun, rewarding activity to wind up our Mountain Men unit.

Hello Everyone!
I hope everyone had a very Happy Easter!
We are fast approaching the end of level tests.
We will begin testing next week. Please make sure that your child is at school, well rested, and having had a nutritious breakfast. We will test on computers, at designated times and days, by a testing proctor. If your child is not going to be in attendance during this time, please let me know well in advance, so that I can reschedule their testing times and days. We are having difficulty with improper fractions, mixed numerals, and comparing fractions. I will send home extra practice for your child to do as homework. Please give them the individual time needed to ensure that your child understands the concepts. Thank you for all that you do! YOU ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had a great week! Mrs. Wyndham, Sierra's grandmother has helped in the classroom for the past two weeks. She was awesome! The Science Fair Projects were unbelievable! Everyone was a winner in my book! The Read A Thon was also a great success! Our 1st place winner was Tanner Savage and our 2nd place winner was Rurik Neumann! Congratulations boys!!! We are studying fractions. We have learned about numerators and denominators. We have added and subtacted fractions, learned about; equivalent fractions, improper fractions, and Mixed Numerals. Please reinforce these at home. We also learned about Circumference, diameter, and radius. Wow! We sure have a lot to learn in 4th grade!!! We are finishing Mountain Men, and will start our Utah Pioneer unit. I can't believe how fast the school year is moving! Only eight short weeks left! Please make sure your child is in school, or it will be very hard on them during End of Level Testing. The play "Once Upon A Mattress" was a great production! We enjoyed seeing our classmate Sydney, in it! Nice job Syd! Thank you so much for all of your wonderful support!! I love your child, and I love you, for giving me this great opportunity to teach them! Also, don't forget our field trip to "Snow Canyon State Park" on Thursday! Dress warm, it's always cold in the canyon during the morning hours! Thanks Again!
